The building contains exhibition halls, restaurants, movie theatres and the world’s largest Omnimax screen. The Centre is located on a 90-meter-diameter marine platform of precast, prestressed concrete elements supported by steel piles. The circular superstructure of 68m diameter supports a 40m diameter spherical dome. Radially arranged, exposed steel trusses form part of the suspended roof system of the superstructure. This roof system is derived from the roof structure of the dominant structures on the Expo site. A double-layer neogeodesic dome consisting of an inner layer of wide-flange steel beams and outer layer of tubular sections was developed for this project. The triangular sandwich panels have a highly polished stainless steel outer skin.

The exhibition and website were created under the patronage of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Vancouver.
