Award of Excellence Officially recognized as one of Canada's Historic Places, 1996 This office building comprises 152,000 square feet (14,000 square metres) of office space and features covered parking for 250 cars. Two major considerations during its design were minimizing obstruction of views caused by the building and addressing earthquake hazards. The vertical core enclosing the transportation media and various utilities is used to its full structural capacity, eliminating conventional columns. By hanging the floors from the top of the central core, the weight of the building acts as a prestressing force on the core, improving its stability and structural integrity during an earthquake.

The exhibition and website were created under the patronage of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Vancouver.
