Elżbieta Berezowska

Architect

Elżbieta Berezowska is a respected design consultant whose career spans over five decades, defined by cross-cultural practice in architecture and interior design across Poland and Canada. She earned her Master's Degree from the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology in 1967. She began her professional path as an Assistant at the Department of History of Architecture at her alma mater. Her early professional experience involved working with institutions in Warsaw and Ottawa, including the Polish Ministry of Health’s Design Office, the Warsaw School Board, and multiple engagements with the University of Ottawa’s Planning and Construction Services. After relocating to Canada in the late 1970s, she focused on interior architecture and design. She worked at Frank Stanzl Construction in Vancouver, and later developed her design approach for showroom and exhibition environments at C. & S. Ceramic Tile Distributors (1982–1999). In 1997, she co-founded Chrząszcz Inc.. From 2001 to 2019, she served as the Lead Designer at WG Architecture Inc., where she shaped projects emphasizing spatial coherence, functionality, and contemporary aesthetics. Since 2019, she has continued her professional engagement as a Design Consultant with Saturnin Architecture in Vancouver. Her work reflects a deep understanding of how space, material, and function create meaningful environments for living, working, and gathering.
