Michał Jaszczewski

M. Arch., Architect AIBC, CP, LEED® AP

Michael Jaszczewski is a seasoned architect with over forty years of comprehensive experience spanning architectural, urban planning, management, and academic practice in both Europe and North America. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology (1969–1973) and furthered his expertise in Canada, completing specialized programs at the University of British Columbia. Since the mid-1980s, Mr. Jaszczewski has held key roles within the Canadian architectural community. His career encompasses work at renowned firms: • At Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership, he contributed to high-rise office towers and heritage restoration. • He participated in designing Vancouver SkyTrain stations while collaborating with the Rapid Transit Project Office 2000/Via Architecture. • As Acting Principal at Lund Architecture Ltd., he led transportation projects, including Canada Line stations. • He managed large-scale residential and commercial developments designed to LEED standards as Senior Architect at WG Architecture Inc. • He served as Senior Project Coordinator at Merrick Architecture, overseeing projects such as the Sewell’s Landing mixed-use complex. In addition to his practice, Mr. Jaszczewski is highly active in education. He taught architecture at the University of Jos in Nigeria early in his career and was a long-standing faculty member at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, where he received the Teaching Excellence Award in 2014. He is a member of the Architectural Institute of British Columbia (since 1993) and holds Certified Professional credentials (CP) and LEED® AP status. His career also includes being part of the design team awarded in the 1973 urban planning competition for the Ursynów Południowy district in Warsaw.
