E-Pop Park is an interactive public space concept that turns recreation into a real-world lesson on renewable energy. Visitors can generate power by moving—dancing, cycling, or using kinetic benches—and track their energy production on digital displays or a mobile app in real time. The project addresses the gap in energy literacy by transforming everyday park activities into engaging demonstrations of energy transfer, conservation, and use. Through play, people learn how much effort it takes to produce electricity and how individual choices impact sustainability. Located in Vancouver, British Columbia, E-Pop Park demonstrates how public design can connect environmental awareness with fun, active experiences—helping cities boost energy education and inspire more responsible urban living.
