The Jim Pattison Outpatient Care & Surgery Centre in Surrey, BC, is a $239M, 178,853 sq. ft. LEED-Gold Certified facility, redefining patientcentered care in British Columbia. Designed by Kasian and delivered as a Public-Private Partnership, the centre consolidates 50 specialized clinics and programs into a cutting-edge ambulatory environment. It includes a 30,000 sq. ft. surgery centre with six operating rooms, diagnostic imaging, chronic disease management, and the province’s first fully integrated pain clinic, among other specialized services. The award-winning design reduces reliance on nearby hospitals for minor procedures, incorporating advanced technology and healthcare delivery models. Its “on-stage/off-stage” layout separates patient and staff areas, streamlining movement and enhancing care quality. This flexible design supports future expansion, ensuring sustainable and accessible healthcare for the Fraser Valley.
