Wojciech Brus

Senior Principal – Executive Vice President, Kasian

Wojciech Brus is a distinguished architect, Senior Principal, and Executive Vice President at Kasian Architecture Interior Design and Planning Ltd.. With over three decades of international and Canadian practice, he is a national leader in healthcare design and a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (FRAIC). He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Silesian Technical University in Poland. Since joining Kasian, Brus has been the driving force behind many of Canada’s most significant healthcare and institutional projects, guiding all of Kasian’s healthcare initiatives in British Columbia. His international portfolio includes restoration of historic structures dating back to the 16th century in Italy and Poland. His key projects span from complex infrastructure to cutting-edge medical facilities, including the award-winning restoration of Victoria’s Empress Hotel, the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary, and the Stanton Territorial Hospital in Yellowknife. He was also central to the BCIT Aerospace Technology Campus and the YVR Domestic Terminal Pier C expansion. Wojciech Brus's design philosophy is rooted in human-centered design, emphasizing functionality, empathy, and collaboration with stakeholders. He views architecture as the "most artistic form of engineering," where technical precision and creativity converge to produce environments that are nurturing and inspiring. He is also deeply committed to mentoring young architects.
