shaw tower teahouse

This Project comprises small a contemporary Teahouse situated on the 19th floor roof of Vancouver’s Shaw Tower. While based on traditional Japanese Teahouses, and modeled on a Tatami mat module, the building is thoroughly modern. It features an accordioning table that folds into the floor, creating a level walking surface. When raised, the table accommodates sitting guests for tea ceremonies.
